LISTEN: Paul Beary looking forward to ‘business end of the season”

For Paul Beary, it has been a brilliant first campaign in charge of Na Piarsaigh thus far. A place in the semi-finals of the Limerick SHC was earned with relative ease after Na Piarsaigh topped Group .

Last Sunday, Na Piarsaigh cemented their place in the last four of the championship with a 1-21 to 1-11 victory over Patrickswell in the Gaelic Grounds. Speaking after the game Beary said.

“I was quite happy with our first half performance. But we obviously switched off for the first period of the second half which was very disappointing from our perspective. While I’m happy to get into the semi-final, there is certainly a lot to work on.”

With just six teams remaining, Na Piarsaigh are heavy favourites to retain the county title for the first time in their history. However, Beary isn’t getting carried away with the hype surrounding his side just yet.

“It’s the business end of the season. Its like a new phase altogether. Its complete knockout from here and there won’t be much mercy if you switch off in matches.”
