LISTEN: “Results define that and that has to be the next step”-Billy Lee

Limerick travel to Wexford this Saturday in their penultimate clash of this years National Football League.

Wexford have struggled in the bottom tier since their relegation last year but Lee is in no doubt of the challenge that will face his Limerick side.

“They’re not going to fear us and we certainly aren’t going to fear them. We’ve to go there in a positive frame of mind and take it on.”

Much has been made of Limerick’s bright start to the league that resulted in a brace of wins.

Since then Limerick have lost three on the bounce despite playing a much improved brand of football.

Lee acknowledges this improvement but insists that results have to follow the performances.

“It’s obvious to us and people that were at the games that we have stepped forward. But ultimately results define that, and that has to be the next step for us.
