LISTEN: Rowntree excited to take on European ‘giants’ in the Champions Cup

On Wednesday, Munster learned their 2020/21 Champions Cup fate as they were paired with Harlequins and Clermont Auvergne.

In the wake of the draw, Munster coach Graham Rowntree says he is excited for the games against two of Europes ‘giants’.

“Proper teams them aren’t they. It’s great for us. Obviously I know Harelquins having worked there, great history and a great club. Clermont are just giants of the game.”

“It’s a great draw, it’s the top level and we’re looking forward to it.”

Rowntree also gave an update on the squad whilst praising those involved in Monday night’s epic with Cardiff.

Munster play the Dragons in the Guinness Pro 14 this Sunday at 1pm in Newport.
