Limerick’s Martina McMahon continues her reign as the best handballer in the country by adding the 2019 All-Ireland Softball Ladies Championship crown to her list of titles.
The Broadford woman defended her title with relative ease by beating her arch-rival and Cork star, Catriona Casey in a one-sided clash, over two games at Croke Park.
McMahon took the first game, on a scoreline of 21-12.
Casey tried to fight back in the second game but McMahon remained in control and in flying form, winning 21-9 to retain her title and bag her third crown of the championships.
