Munster learn opponents for 2023/24 Heineken Champions Cup

The final of the competition will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next May with Munster seeking a first European success since 2008.

Munster will face Bayonne, Exeter Chiefs, Toulon and Northampton Saints in the pool stages of the 2023/24 Champions Cup.

Munster were drawn in Pool 3 which also includes the Glasgow Warriors. The URC Champions were drawn as a Tier 1 side alongside champions La Rochelle, Toulouse and Saracens.

The four highest-ranked clubs from each of the pools will qualify for the knockout stage.

Fixture details will be confirmed at a later date.

Munster are two-time European Champions, winning the Heineken Cup in 2006 and again two years later before the competition was rebranded to the Champions Cup. That 2008 win over Toulouse was their last trip to the final with Leinster claiming four titles in the meantime.

The Irish province were beaten by Ronan O’Gara’s La Rochelle in the second successive final last month.
