The 2023 Munster Hurling Championship kicks off on Sunday, April 23 when Limerick take on Waterford in FBD Semple Stadium. Later that afternoon, Clare host Tipperary. Cork begin their campaign the following weekend against the Deise.

Limerick are the defending champions and are unbeaten since claiming the title against Tipperary in 2019. Since then they have defeated Waterford, the Premier and Clare in successive finals.

This will be the fourth edition of the round robin series of the Munster championship with Limerick and Cork reaching the All-Ireland series on each occasion thus far. Clare have twice got out while Tipperary joined the aforementioned duo in 2019.

Limerick are home to Clare in their second outing, they then return to Thurles to face Tipp before rounding out the group stages by welcoming Cork to the Ennis Rd. Those final round games take place on May 28 with the Munster final to be played a fortnight later.
