Munster sign full back Mike Haley from Sale Sharks

IRFU confirm that Munster have signed the Sale Shark full back.

Munster Rugby have signed full-back Mike Haley from Sale Sharks on a three-year contract which will be begin at the start of next season.

The English born Haley who is from Preston is Irish Qualified through his maternal Grandmother who is originally from Tralee in Kerry.

In the 23 year old’s career so far he has made 105 appearances for Sale Sharks where he also made his European debut against Munster in October of 2014.

He has represented the England Saxon’s in South Africa, where they won their tour in June 2016. He has also represented the England XV against the Barbarians in Twickenham last year.

Munster Head Coach Johann van Graan who spoke to Munster Rugby said that ‘He was delighted to welcome Mike to Munster Rugby’.

‘At 23, he has over 6 years of professional rugby under his belt and will be a great addition to our squad’.

With Simon Zebo set to leave Munster at the end of the season to join Racing 92, Haley will be a brilliant player to bring in to the squad and one with a very bright future ahead of him.
