Pat Donnelly on injured duo – “It will be the end of the week before we have any real idea of where they are”

Limerick Under 21 Hurling manager Pat Donnelly has 2 injury concerns ahead of the All Ireland Under 21 Hurling Final on against Kilkenny.

Cian Lynch and Dan Joy both picked up knocks in the County SHC last weekend.

Donnelly says that it will be later in the week before the management team know any more about the seriousness of the injuries.

“We don’t know how serious they are, we believe they’re not too bad. We’ll know more during the week. The lads have gone to see physios already and hopefully fingers crossed they’ll be okay. It’ll be later in the week before we have any real idea of where they are”

The manager has also said that if worst comes to worst, he has a strong enough panel to not have to worry about playing any players that aren’t fully fit.

“We have a panel of players that are very good. We’re not going to play players that are injured. We’re going to go with 15 fellas that are fit. We might have to dig deep but if we do, we’re not concerned.”
