Report | Munster lose out in Glasgow in tough weather conditions

Munster were unable to find their feet in Glasgow through the tough weather conditions

Munster travelled to Glasgow this evening to battle it out with Glasgow in a grueling encounter under tough weather conditions. The two sides are placed 4th and 5th in the championship and this win puts Glasgow in front. Munster, however, have a game in hand on the Scottish side which will put them ahead on points granted they win.

Glasgow out-half Duncan Weir took the lead from the tee putting the home side up by three. Ben Healy replied almost instantly levelling the game. Upon half time Glasgow lock Scott Cummings blocked down a clearance kick and expertly chased the ball down and scored virtually under the poles. Weir converted putting the home side up by 7.

In the second half, Fraser Brown received a yellow for deliberate interference on the floor. The visitors were unable to capitalize off this first conceding a penalty then scoring one. On 71 minutes Munster lock Jean Kleyn found a gap in the corner and finished smoothly. Substitute Jack Crowley pulled the ball left of the poles leaving a two point gap in the game. The game continued physically but Glasgow were able to hold the men in red out, final score was 31-11 in Glasgow’s favor.
