In the fourth year of the Munster round robin series, Limerick will be looking to maintain their perfect record of making it out of the province. The Shannonsiders have won the last four titles and reached five successive All-Ireland semi-finals, winning four national titles in that time.

Cork have also finished in the top three in 2018, ’19 and ’22, winning the championship five years ago. Clare were runners up in 2018 and ’22 but were defeated in the Munster and All-Ireland semi-finals on both occasions. Tipperary won each of their group games ini 2019 but lost the Munster decider to Limerick. However, they did go on to win the All-Ireland title that year. Waterford are yet to move out of the round robin stage with just one win to show from the twelve games.

The Deise kick off their campaign against Limerick in Semple Stadium this Sunday afternoon at 2pm with Clare hosting Tipperary at 4pm. The following week Cork begin their championship season against the Deise in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, the night after Limerick host Clare.

If the voting is proved correct, expect Limerick and Tipp to get off to winning starts in the opening pair of weekends.
