Three Limerick based players named in Ireland U18 Schools and Clubs Squad

Ireland U18 Schools and Clubs Head Coach, Mark Butler has named a 24 man squad for their upcoming games against English Counties this week. Butler’s squad will face the English twice. the first game will be tomorrow and the second on Saturday. Both games kick off at 2pm in Ashbourne RFC

Whilst last year saw a combined squad of schools and clubs players, this year has seem the return of the Schools squad, who are currently touring in Wales. Therefore, those eligible for this squad are the best club players in the country as well as those who missed out on the schools panel.

Glenstal Abbey are rewarded for their run to the Munster Schools Senior Cup final with two members of their squad included. These are Luke Fitzgerald, who plays club rugby for Young Munster and Mark Fleming. The third Limerick representative on the team is St Munchins’ Paddy Kelly.

There are also six Exiles included in the 24 man squad.
