Times, Dates and Venues confirmed for 2021 Munster Championship fixtures

The times, dates and venues have been confirmed for Limerick’s 2021 Munster hurling and football championship fixtures.

The defending Munster hurling champions Limerick will travel to Thurles to take on Cork in the provincial semi-final on Saturday July 3 at 7pm.

The last time Limerick and Cork met in the Semple Stadium was the 2006 All-Ireland quarter-final where defending champions Cork held out for a 0-19 to 0-18 win.

The winners of that clash will face one of Tipperary, Waterford or Clare in the Munster final.

The previous week to that, the footballers will open their Munster championship campaign as they welcome Waterford to the LIT Gaelic Grounds on Saturday June 26 at 3pm.

Limerick were comfortable 2-14 to 0-9 winners when they met Waterford in the 2020 Munster quarter-final. The Shannonsiders haven’t reached a provincial final since 2010.

The victors in that meeting move into the provincial semi-final to face Cork.
