Tom Morrissey pointed Ahane to a crucial 2-22 to 2-16 win over Kildimo Pallaskenry in Cappamore.

It’s a first win for Ahane since 2021 while Kildimo Pallaskenry will need at least three points from here to ensure safety.
Promoted KP got off to the perfect start with Shaun Barry netting from the penalty spot after Kyle Hayes was fouled.
Hayes’ influence was well marshalled by fellow All-Ireland winner Dan Morrissey and limited him to just a point.
At the other end, Ronan Fox hit back with a well taken goal to leave it 1-2 apiece after 10.
On twenty minutes, Minehan hit the net that gave Ahane a six point cushion. From here they didn’t look back as they led 2-12 to 1-6 at the interval.
Morrissey took over in the second half as Ahane kept well in front.
KP did get hope with ten to play as a long Sean Barry delivery went into the net wit Barry O’Connell looking like he got the final touch.
A score from Liam Griffin brought them writhing six but that’s as close as they got with Morrissey pointing Ahane home.
