Victories for Limerick men’s basketball sides to close the year | Basketball Update

The Sport Eagles finished the year with a dominant 100-66 win at home to Team NorthWest, where new signing Kealan Coats posted an outstanding 36 points.

There were two wins from a possible three for the Limerick basketball sides in action last week, as the Celtics and the Sport Eagles closed 2023 victoriously.

The Celtics took on Moy Tolka Rovers in the InsureMyVan.ie Division 1, as Michael Hood and Justin Motley scored 28 points each to lead their side to a 88-67 victory.

They will now have a rest weekend following their elimination from the National Cup.

Elsewhere, the Sport Eagles finished the year with a dominant 100-66 win at home to Team NorthWest, where new signing Kealan Coats posted an outstanding 36 points, making him top-scorer on the night. 

Next up for the Sport Eagles is a National Cup semi-final meeting with Moy Tolka Rovers.

Elsewhere, in the MissQuote.ie Division 1, the Sport Huskies slumped to a 93-74 loss away to Abbey Seals Dublin Lions.

The defeat leaves them with a record of 5-1-5 for the season.
