WATCH: Antóin Power “There is only going to be a puck of a ball in it”.

While there is great disappointment that the senior side will not be making an appearamce this Sunday in Thurles for the Munster Hurling Championship, the minor side will line out at 11.30am in the underage decider against Tipperary.

It is Limerick’s fifth Munster final appearance in the last six years with four appearances in a row between 2013 and 2016. Limerick won two of those deciders with both wins coming against Waterford, which were followed by a brace of losses to this Sundays opponents.

These sides met in the first round of this years Munster championship where a Cathal O’Neill inspired Limerick came out on top in the Gaelic Grounds on a scoreline of 1-17 to 2-12.

Antoin Power, Limerick manager, is looking forward to what promises to be another close encounter with the Premier County.

“There was only a puck of the ball in it in the first game and looking at Tipperary now, they’re at home in Thurles so its probably worth another two or three points, so the game is going to be 50/50.”

“I’d say its going to be very tight and close, again I’d say there is only going to be a puck of the ball in it.”
