WATCH: Chris Cloete on clinical Saracens and supporting from the bench

Munster limped out of the Champions Cup at the semi-final stage for the third consecutive year on Saturday with defeat to Saracens.

Although the English side only held a slender lead at the break, the writing was on the wall for Munster as they eventually succumbed to a 32-16 loss.

Munster’s Chris Cloete reflecting on the game acknowledged the quality of the opposition.

“They were very clinical on the day. They played really well on the day and I think you have to give credit where it is due.”

Since his return from injury, Jack O’Donoghue has been preferred at openside to Cloete, although the South African doesn’t hold any grudges insisting it is a team game with everyone supporting each other.

“If you don’t play, you don’t play. You support the guys that are. It is frustrating because you want to play but at the end of a day it is a team sport, and everyone is there to support each other as hard as we can.”
