WATCH: Dan Morrissey “we won’t get ahead of ourselves, it’s still only February”

Limerick had too much for Kilkenny yesterday as they enjoyed a nine point winning margin on a scoreline of 2-18 to 0-15. The win keeps Limerick on top of division 1A with three wins from three.

Dan Morrissey speaking to media after the game

Sporting Limerick caught up with Ahane’s Dan Morrissey in the aftermath of yesterday’s and while he was delighted with the win, he says the team will stay grounded.

“We are very happy. Anytime you come down to Nowlan Park and beat Kilkenny in their own back garden is a good day. At the same time we won’t get ahead of ourselves, it’s still only February and Kilkenny were missing the Ballyhale lads and another two or three on top of that.

“We are happy with where we are at the minute, there is lads coming and putting their hands up for a jersey. We would definitely have taken a win coming down here this morning.”
