WATCH: Ferreira on Munster’s long pre season and Friday’s game with London Irish

Munster open their pre-season fixtures with a game against London Irish at Musgrave Park this coming Friday.

Johann van Graan’s side play Connacht in their second game a week later, before opening their Pro14 campaign with a home game against the Dragons on Saturday, September 28 at Thomond Park.

Defence coach JP Ferreira is excited about getting out onto the pitch in Cork against a team coached by former Munster man Declan Kidney.

“I came in yesterday buzzing because it’s game week and you get a bit of a routine going in game week which is good.

“I am really looking forward to seeing where we are at and where the boys are at. Obviously, it’s two weeks before the Pro14 starts.

“We can analyze where we are at and take it from there next week, but really excited to get going now.”
