WATCH: Highlights of Doon’s historic U21 victory over Na Piarsaigh

Last night in the Gaelic Grounds Doon secured their first U21 Premier County Hurling title since 2005 with a 2-10 to 1-11 victory over Na Piarsaigh.

The game, which was the first ever game streamed live by Limerick GAA TV, was in the melting pot for long periods with Doon holding a slender 1-6 to 0-7 lead at the break with Jack Ryan scoring the goal.

Na Piarsaigh duly responded and opened up a three point lead with Reuban McCarthy’s goal after 40 minutes.

Doon responded accordingly and despite the sending off of Jack Downey, a brilliant solo goal from Dúbhan O’Grady would prove to be the difference between the sides.
