Jamie Wall’s Kilmallock made it into a third consecutive Limerick SHC semi-final on Sunday when they defeated Ahane 0-22 to 1-14.
The win for Ahane was an important one for Wall’s team as they look to get momentum going ahead of the semi-final.
“A win is a win, a result is a result. That’s what championship games are for, to get to the next round and get past it, whatever’s in front of you.”
What stands in front of them is back-to-back county champions Na Piarsaigh who had sixteen points to spare when these sides met in the group stages.
However, Wall says that game will count for little come Sunday.
“We were after coming back after a disjointed summer. History has no bearing on the game next Sunday.
The team that plays better on Sunday will win and it’s as simple as that.”
