Munster enjoyed a hard fought 21-10 win over old rivals Glasgow at the weekend with their defensive performance very much instrumental in the victory.
Despite Glasgow making some clean line breaks Munster’s scramble defence were able to chase down the ball carrier and snuff out the chance.
One instance in particular was a latch ditch effort from Alex Wootton who managed to dislodge the ball from the grasp of Glasgow flanker Matt Smith when a try looked nailed on.
“I thought Wootts was exceptional in that tackle, five points for them there makes the game a whole lot different. We work very hard in defence.” said van Graan.
