WATCH – John Kiely looking to improve on Waterford performance for Clare test

The Limerick senior hurlers will need to up their game this Sunday at Cusack Park following a convincing victory over the Deise last weekend, according to manager John Kiely.

“It was a good performance, we were efficient, we have improved from game to game so we are looking for another incremental improvement on Sunday but we need to play even better than that going forward.”

“There’s still areas to work on, we still wasted chances on Sunday, so there’s a bit of tightening up to be done there. We conceded a goal, that’s not something we want to do in such a fashion as it did happen. So there’s aspects of our play that still need work and that’s going to take time.” Said Kiely.

John Kiely names his side to face the Banner this Friday (9pm). Exciting young forward Aaron Gillane returns from suspension but may have to settle for a place on the bench following Shane Dowling’s influential performance against Waterford.
