JP McManus was speaking to the press today ahead of the official launch of the 2020 JP McManus Pro-Am. As part of the official launch, Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley will contest a charity four ball with the winner claiming €500,000 for their chosen charity.
Ahead of the event, JP was eager to point out the contribution from all the staff who helped transform the venue from one of the best in Ireland to a golf facility which now stands amongst the best in the world.
“We’ll try do the best we can. It was very successful in the past. People have been marvellous in the way they have supported it. The charities run the qualifiers to pay in it which creates a lot of interest and excitement. “
“It gives everybody the chance to play with one of these distinguished professionals that they might not normally have the chance to.”
“We want to make it a symbol of Adare, and the Manor, and the People.”
