WATCH: JvG “This was not a regular game, you saw what it meant from the first minute”

Rory Scannell’s incredible last-gasp penalty completed a superb comeback win for Munster over Glasgow in the Pro14.

Scannell’s penalty was the last play of a pulsating contest which saw the Warriors open up a 14-point lead thanks to two George Horne tries.

Munster head coach Johann van Graan says the game was played at Champions Cup level intensity and was not like a regular game.

“This was not a regular game, you saw in the first minute what it meant to both sides. Not one of those sides were going to blink.. . . They gave us a bloody nose a few weeks ago and we knew we had to fight back.”

Alex Wootton and Alby Mathewson responded with tries and whittled the lead down to two, leaving Scannell to take the plaudits at the death.

The result sees Munster move back into contention in Conference A after falling to fifth before the European break.
