Munster full back Mike Haley is no stranger to playing at Kingsholm due to his seven seasons at Sale Sharks.
Haley is expecting a vocal reception from the Gloucester crowd tonight in what is a vital fixture in Pool 2 of this season’s Champions Cup.
“It’s a great place to go and play rugby,” Haley said earlier this week. “It’s really renowned for having a great crowd who are very vocal and get behind their team.
“It’s an Exeter type place. It’s just a good place to go play. I know years ago they had troubles with the pitch. It wouldn’t be great for a back three player but they have changed that now. I’m looking forward to it.”
Haley also went on to speak of the threat that his former Sale teammate Danny Cipriani will bring to the Gloucester attack.
“I have the fortune of playing with him for three years but in saying that, he pulls out kicks from anywhere. You just have to be on your toes.
“It’s a great challenge. You go into the Champions Cup to play against the best players and see how you fare and this is going to be a great challenge.”
