WATCH: Niall Scannell on the business end of the season and the 16th man

Munster earned their place in the last four of the European Champions Cup with a hard-fought 18-13 win over Edinburgh in Murrayfield.

Attention now reverts back to the Guinness Pro 14 with three games left before the play-offs with Munster currently in second place in Conference 1.

Ahead of the business season, Scannell says the squad are exactly where they hoped to be at the beginning.

“We have a huge semi-final to look forward to. It’s brilliant, it’s where you want to be.”

Munster welcome Cardiff to Irish Independent Park on Friday night looking to close the gap on Glasgow Warriors who are three points ahead of Munster.

With home advantage still up for grabs in the knockout stages, Scannell has outlined the importance of the 16th man for the Province.

“It’s that feeling when you come onto the pitch. That tingling feeling, you know then that it’s a real game, a big game.”

“You can feel the fans.”
