The only Munster player to keep his place in the starting XV for last week’s Pro 14 draw with Ulster was young player of the year Sammy Arnold, who lined out in midfield against his former club.
Arnold says he was itching to get back out onto the field following the disappointment in Bordeaux and hopes to have done enough to keep his place for this Saturday’s quarter-final tie with Edinburgh at Thomond Park.
“Fingers crossed, hopefully I get the nod but Dan was awesome at the weekend as well, his physicality and ability to move the ball. I thought he was superb, there’s lots of guys trying to put their hands up and give Johann that headache.”
