WATCH: Sheedy relieved after victory over Prospect

Kilmallock striker Barry Sheedy played a pivotal role in his team’s 3-2 victory over fellow relegation rivals Prospect Priory on Sunday morning.

Sheedy scored the second and equalising goal for his team who had to fight back from 2-1 down to win the crucial encounter. The striker/midfielder admits it has been a tough season for the club but says it is a psychological boost to leave the relegation zone for at least a week.

“We have been struggling massively this year so it was good to finally get three points on board. It was a tough game as Prospect are a good side who battled right to the last second but we got over the line in what has been a tough year for us so far.”
