WATCH: Tyler Bleyendaal on coming back from injury, Joey Carbery and Ireland ambitions

Munster out half Tyler Bleyendaal is expected to start in their Pro14 game with the Dragons on Saturday as he continues his return from a long term neck injury.

Bleyendaal is looking forward to getting some much needed game time after the latest neck problem kept him out for eight months.

He has had sporadic appearances since getting the go ahead to come back playing since October and is looking to take his chance at Rodney Parade.

“It’s tough. You have to be confident that you will recover well, which I certainly was. Once you step over that line you have to go fully into it.

“I had no issues in that regard. You have still got to enjoy it and have confidence in your body. You also have to remember it’s a team sport as well and everyone around you is going to help you as well.

Bleyendaal also spoke about he has been impressed with his rival for the starting 10 jersey at Munster, Joey Carbery.

“He has been outstanding for the last month. He was just huge in the way he knocked over the penalty to give us the lead and it gave us that breathing space.

“Joey has been leading the team great. You see the talent that he has, the skills he has but also the composure.”
