Old Crescent RFC in association with Rugby Travel Ireland and TagRugby.ie (ITRA) will host the 16th annual Pig ‘n’ Porter Tag Rugby Festival across their grounds in Rosbrien, and the University Of Limerick on July 15.

The event is expected to attract in excess of 4,000 people to the venue, with over 120 participating teams. While former Munster star Alan Quinlan will host.

Limerick’s Pig ‘n’ Porter is now the world’s largest Tag Rugby Festival, and has grown in popularity over the past 15 years.

With humble beginnings, the event started with 12 teams in 2002, while over 125 teams too part last year from across Ireland, UK, France and Australia.

The festival brings a large number of visitors to Limerick for the weekend and it is always a huge success. Since its inception, the event has had more than 12,000 participants.

The registration party gets underway tonight, Friday July 14 at Flannery’s Bar, Denmark St, while on pitch registration starts on the Saturday morning at 9.30am, with the action kicking off at 11am.
