WATCH – Galway prove too strong for Declan Nash’s Limerick

Limerick 1-11 Galway 3-14

Limerick suffered their second All Ireland Camogie Championship defeat of the campaign against high flying Galway in Bruff on Saturday evening.

Nash’s charges were heavily reliant on Ahane club woman Niamh Mulcahy who hit 10 points of Limerick’s 1-11 total.

The home side found themselves facing an eight point deficit by half time as Galway took a 2-7 to 0-5 lead into the break.

A better points return in the second half, and a goal from Dearbhla Egan wasn’t enough for Limerick to mount any sort of a comeback as Galway went on to maintain their 100% record in the group stages.

Limerick’s hopes of reaching the quarter final is now out of their hands. They must travel to Waterford on July 14 for their final group game knowing that a win may not be enough to reach the knock out stages.
