Limerick’s Cathal O’Neill named on Minor Hurling Team of the Year

Crecora-Manister starlet Cathal O’Neill is the sole Limerick representative on the Electric Ireland 2018 Minor Hurling Team of the Year that was named yesterday.

O’Neill was outstanding in Limerick’s run throughout the Munster campaign, leading the side to the top of the group with six points from their four games.

Limerick may have lost out to Tipperary in the Munster Final but O’Neill continued to impress and finished the provincial campaign with a scoring tally of 1-38.

O’Neill then hit another 16 points in Limerick’s defeats to Galway and Kilkenny in the Quarter Final round robin to finish his outstanding season with 1-54 to his name.
