LISTEN: John Ryan looks back at win over Louth and previews this weekend’s clash with Carlow

Limerick’s ladies gaelic football side got their LIDL National League Division 4 campaign off to a winning start with a one point win over Louth in Askeaton last Sunday.

John Ryan’s charges needed two Catriona Davis frees deep into added time to earn an opening day win over the side they beat in last September’s All-Ireland Junior Final.

Ryan says that Limerick have plenty to work on for Sunday’s game against a Carlow side that are a bit of an unknown quantity.

“This is going to be a difficult game for us. We knew what Louth were like from the All-Ireland Final and we could set ourselves up against them.

“This Carlow team, we know nothing about them. We played them last year and they seemed to be a bit disorganised.

“From what i have gathered is that they have regrouped and are going to very strong on Sunday.”
