Limerick Munster Football and Hurling Championship fixtures confirmed

Munster GAA have announced the fixtures for the 2020 provincial championships with both the hurlers and footballers drawn in the quarter finals.

Hurling

Limerick’s fixture with Clare in the Munster Championship quarter final as been announced.

Limerick will begin the defence of their title in Semple Stadium on Sunday October 25 at 3.45pm against the Banner.

The Munster championship will revert to its original format for 2020 due to the global pandemic and truncated timeframe.

The prize for the winner is a clash with Tipperary the follwoing Sunday in either the LIT Gaelic Grounds or Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The final is fixed for Sunday November 15.

Football

Billy Lee’s side have Waterford in the quarter-finals with Limerick having to travel to the Fraher Field on Saturday October 31 for the 7pm fixture.

The winners of that game will meet the winners of Tipperary and Clare the following Saturday with the venue dependent on the winners.

The fixtures for the U20 football and minor championships have also been confirmed.
