WATCH: Limerick Ladies Footballers book League semi-final berth with Carlow win

Donal Ryan’s Limerick Ladies Footballers were 2-7 to 0-8 victors over Carlow in Division 4 of the National Football League in the Gaelic Grounds.

The five point win was enough to see the side into the last four where they will face Leitrim next weekend.

Carlow held a narrow 0-3 to 0-2 lead at the first water break with Iris Kennelly and Katie Heelan kicking over for Limerick.

The pivotal moment of the first half came in the dying minutes with Andrea O’Sullivan bagging the games first goal to give Limerick a 1-4 to 0-5 lead at the break.

Caroline Hickey and Amy Ryan added scores to increase the lead to 1-6 to 0-6 heading into the final quarter.

Shortly after the restart, Iris Kennelly extended the advantage with a well worked goal.

A Caroline Hickey rounded off the scoring for Limerick to seal the win and passage into the last four.
