WATCH: Limerick Junior Camogie fall in League semi-final defeat to Galway

Pat Ryan’s Limerick Junior Camogie side were defeated 3-12 to 1-5 by Wexford outfit in the Littlewoods National Camogie League Division 3 semi-final on Saturday.

Enya Harrington made no mistake with her first free of the day to give Limerick and early lead which she doubled after five minutes.

Wexford replied with a brace but Valerie Shanahan’s score ensured Limerick a 0-3 to 0-2 advantage at the first water break.

Wexford levelled shortly after the restart but Harrington’s third of the day pulled Limerick ahead once more.

The Yellowbellies did notch the final two scores of the half to take a slender 0-5 to 0-4 lead into the break.

The Leinster side hit the ground running in the second period and knocked over six on the trot to move seven clear approaching the final quarter.

But Limerick grabbed a lifeline when Harrington flicked to the net to reduce the deficit to 0-11 to 1-4.

Harrington brought Limerick within three but Wexford were on hand to reply with a quickfire 1-1 to streak clear.

The Leinster side added two more goals down the stretch to earn the win and move into the league decider against Armagh next weekend.
