Week 4: Limerick District League Premier Division Review

There are just three games in our round up this week due to cancellation of the Carew Park and Pike Rovers game due to a damaged goalpost at Carew’s home ground. We also have a full report of the Fairview vs Regional game on our website and social media pages.

Ballynanty Rovers made it three games unbeaten and in doing so picked up a huge 2-1 victory over one of the early title favourites Aisling Annacotty at Limerick Institute of Technology on Sunday morning. Thomas Byrnes and Habidden Gbedebo were on the scoresheet once more having both scored against Carew Park. Gbadebo has now scored 5 goals in 4 games for Dave Dunphy’s side. Shane Clarke pulled a goal back for Aisling but they were unable to force an equaliser.

Aisling will now turn their attentions to a home fixture with Carew Park on Thursday night and Ballynanty will now have a week off as they were due to play Prospect Priory who will not be competing for the remainder of the season.
