The final round of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship came to a close on Sunday afternoon.
There are just six teams left in the hunt for Limerick SHC honours after the final round of games over the weekend.
Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock are straight into the last four after occupying the top two spots in group one of the competition.
They will be joined in the semi-finals by two of Doon, Patrickswell, Kildimo Pallaskenry and South Liberties who make up the quarter-finalists.
A draw will be made to determine the quarter-final fixtures where teams from group one will play opposition from group two.
The quarter-finals are set to be played on the weekend of October 8/9, but KP could also qualify for the Senior Football semi-finals scheduled for those dates this weekend in the final round of the SFC.
On Saturday afternoon, KP booked their promotion with a four point win over Garryspillane while South Liberties victory over Ballybrown meant they moved into the quarters ahead of the Clarina outfit. Ballybrown will contest the County Cup final against Mungret St Pauls who drew with relegated Blackrock on the final day.
Limerick SHC Round Five Group Two Recap
Yesterday, Kilmallock just edged past Doon into the semi-finals with their draw against the East side enough to stay in front due to their superior scoring difference. Patrickswell overcame Adare to relegate the West side and earn a quarter-final berth. Ahane’s draw with Na Piarsaigh ensured their safety with the Caherdavin outfit already into the semi-finals with a round to spare.
