Limerick’s Kristine Reidy named on Ladies Football Junior Team of the Championship

The Feohanagh Castlemahon native is Limerick’s sole representative on the team that is dominated by the All-Ireland Champions.

Limerick defender Kristine Reidy has been named on the 2022 TG4 Ladies Football Junior Team of the Championship following a string of brilliant performances.

The Feohanagh Castlemahon player was to the fore as Limerick were bested in the All-Ireland semi-final once again by Fermanagh.

All-Ireland champions Antrim dominate the selection with eight players chosen as they beat Fermanagh in the decider after a replay.

These selections honour outstanding individual displays throughout the 2022 TG4 All-Ireland Championships in the Junior and Intermediate grades with the winners set to receive their awards at a Croke Park function on Friday November 4.

Limerick lost their championship opener to the eventual champions but regrouped to beat New York and earn a place in the last four for a third successive season.

But Fermanagh found the crucial goals in Kiltoom to seal a 7-9 to 3-12 victory.

Reidy will be in action for her club on October 7 as they take on Old Mill in the Limerick Ladies Senior B decider.
