Three of the four Limerick side will be looking to get back on track after second round defeats.
Round three of the Men and Women’s Division One take place this weekend after a rather underwhelming second round for Limerick sides.
The Limerick Celtic’s Men’s were the only side to claim three points while the remaining three sides were on the losing side with consecutive defeats for the Limerick Sport Huskies.
However, there’s not much time to dwell on the defeats for the sides as the next round of fixtures is just around the corner with three of the four sides returning to the court on Saturday.
The Limerick Celtics men’s have the opportunity to make it three wins from three when they host Killarney Cougars on Saturday. The Cougars sit bottom of the pile after two games while the Celtics average the most points of any side in the division with a staggering 100. The game gets underway at 7pm
Simultaneously, the Limerick Sport Eagles will be looking to redeem their second round loss when they travel to SETU Waterford Vikings. The Vikings are yet to find a win from their opening matches so the Sport Eagles will be looking to keep that record intact.
Also on Saturday, the Limerick Celtic’s women’s will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they host the Marble City Hawks. Their opponents were out of action in the second round with an odd number of teams in the league.
Lastly, the Limerick Sport Huskies face SETU Carlow in a bid to clinch their first win on Sunday afternoon. It’s been a disappointing start for the side but they face a Carlow side that are also yet to find a win this term.
