Don O’Riordan Leaves Role as Treaty Women’s Boss

Treaty United have announced that experienced manager Don O’Riordan has left his role as manager of the club’s senior women’s team after just one season in charge. O’Riordan arrived to Treaty with a big reputation having held positions in senior football for three decades. However, the club endured an exceptionally tough season and finished at the foot of the Airtricity Women’s National League table.

The official statement read:

Treaty United regrets to announce Don O’Riordan has advised the club of his departure due to time commitments. Treaty United would like to place on the record our sincere thanks to Don and his management team for their hard work, dedication and integrity in developing the youngest squad in the Women’s National League during the 2022 campaign.

The club wishes Don every success in the future and he will always be welcome at Treaty United. The club will now begin the process of recruiting a new First Team Manager to prepare Treaty United’s Senior Women’s side for the 2023 campaign.

In positive news, Treaty striker Cara Griffin won the goal of the month competition for October following a wonder strike against Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds.
