Squad Update | Loughman and Crowley make international debuts but bad news on injury front for Antoine Frisch

Munster return to domestic action this weekend after beating South Africa Select in Thomond Park last Thursday.

The Munster squad are preparing at the HPC ahead of Saturday week’s Interpro derby against Connacht at Thomond Park (7.35pm).

Along with the 23 Munster players who lined out against the South Africa Select XV on Thursday, there were 15 Munster players in international and AIL action at the weekend.

Tadhg Beirne, Joey Carbery, Craig Casey, Jack Crowley and Jeremy Loughman lined out for Ireland in their win over Fiji as Crowley and Loughman made their international debuts.

Carbery will complete the return to play protocols at Munster following his removal on Saturday for a HIA.

John Ryan was in action for the Barbarians as they beat a New Zealand XV at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday.

Antoine Frisch was due to join the French Barbarians squad this week but has withdrawn as a precaution and will undergo a scan on a thigh issue following the win over South Africa Select XV.

There were nine Munster players in AIL action for their clubs at the weekend.

Academy trio Ethan Coughlan, Darragh McSweeney and Kieran Ryan lined out for Shannon in their defeat away to Dublin University.

Eoin O’Connor and Conor Phillips were in action for Young Munster as they beat Clontarf.

Jack Oliver kicked seven points for Garryowen in their loss to UCD.

In Division 1B, James French helped Highfield to a victory over Old Belvedere.

Scott Buckley lined out for UCC in their defeat to Buccaneers.

In Division 2A, Ruadhan Quinn helped Old Crescent to a victory over Nenagh Ormond.
