John Lillis announces Limerick Senior Camogie Panel for 2023 season

Limerick will be looking to bounce back following relegation from the League last season.

John Lillis has named a 36-player Limerick Senior Camogie Squad for the coming season. Marian Quaid (Bruff) continues as captain with Orlaith Kelleher (Croagh Kilfinny) as vice.

In total there are 18 clubs represented with Bruff, Monaleen and Na Piarsaigh all supplying four players to the squad. All-Ireland runners-up Adare have two in regulars Caoimhe Costello and Sophie O’Callaghan.

County champions Ahane have a pair with Aine Reynolds and Ele Madigan included. Runners up Killeedy are without any selected.

Limerick will kick off their season in Division 1B of the league where they are joined by Wexford, Antrim, Waterford, Offaly and Down. Last year, they were relegated to the second tier following a play-off defeat to Offaly. Lillis’ side went on to reach only a second All-Ireland quarter-final in 17 years but were well beaten by Waterford.

They begin their 2023 campaign in the restructured Division 1B on February 18 in Wexford. The following week they host Antrim before successive trips to Waterford and Down before they round out their campaign at home to Offaly.
