Diarmuid Mullins makes one change to Limerick U20 team to face Clare

Elsewhere it is as it was in the Fraher Field as Limerick seek a sixth successive Munster championship win at the grade.

Diarmuid Mullins has made one change to his Limerick team to take on Clare in the second round of the Munster U20 Hurling Championship on Wednesday evening.

Monaleen’s Joseph Fitzgerald comes into the side at midfield in place of Barry Duff whom he replaced in the second half of the opening-round win over Waterford on Saturday.

Fitzgerald was a key member of the Monaleen team that claimed All-Ireland honours earlier this year where he was also named in the middle of the park.

Elsewhere it is as it was in the Fraher Field as Limerick seek a sixth successive Munster championship win at the grade after claiming last year’s title.

Ethan Hurley captains the side from wing back with vice-captain Paddy O’Donovan named at centre-forward. The Effin man top-scored for Limerick in the win in Dungavran with goalscorer Con Hayes continuing in the corner.

Mullins has included senior duo Adam English and Shane O’Brien who will both be eligible for the National League final on the weekend of April 8/9.

Throw in on Wednesday evening in the TUS Gaelic Grounds is 7pm with the game live on TG4 YouTube.
