Speaking to Irish Boxing prior to the fight, Donovan spoke of his desire to get the stoppage result and predicted the outcome of the contest.
“It’s chance for me to express what I’m working on in the gym. I’m better than I ever have been. I’ve been knocking everyone out in sparring. I’m in great shape, feeling great. This is another step up these stairs and I just have to take it one by one.
“A knockout is the plan. Get a couple of rounds in and pick it up as we move forward and try to go for a stoppage.”
Donovan made his pro debut in 2019.
