Na Piarsaigh prove too strong for Kildimo Pallaskenry

The Caherdavin men dominated after the restart with Adrian Breen and Peter Casey splitting 0-10 from play evenly.

Na Piarsaigh got off the mark in the Limerick SHC with a comfortable win over Kildimo Pallaskenry in Claugahun this evening.

It was relatively straight forward for the Caherdavin men with Conor Boylan’s goal helping them to the 1-23 to 1-14 victory.

Boylan’s green flag was the difference at the half as KP battled valiantly against the reigning champions.

They had opened up a six pint lead at one stage but scores from Shaun Barry frees, Kyle Hayes and a Darren O’Connell brace left it at 1-10 to 0-10.

However, the Caherdavin men dominated after the restart and with Adrian Breen and Peter Casey splitting 0-10 from play evenly, there was only going to be one winner.

Barry did raise a green flag, firing in from a long range free, catching the Nap defence off guard but it was little respite with Casey rounding out the scoring.

Again with Will O’Donoghue, Nap were led in scoring by Ronan Lynch while the young trio of Wayne Kearns, JJ Carey and Vince Harrington were exceptional.

The result leaves Nap level on points with Doon, Patrickswell and Ahane with KP pointless so far.

Scorers for Na Piarsaigh: Ronan Lynch 0-6 (5f, sl), Peter Casey and Adrian Breen 0-5 each, Conor Boylan 1-1, Wayne Kearns 0-3, Vince Harrington 0-2, Shane Dowling 0-1f.

Scorers for Kildimo Pallaskenry: Shaun Barry 1-6fs, Kyle Hayes, Darren O’Connell, Conor McMahon and Liam Griffin (f) all 0-2.
