Limerick U20 hurling team named for Waterford meeting | TEAM NEWS

Kilmallock’s Shane O’Brien leads the full-forward line, flanked by Fintan Fitzgerald in one corner and Oisin O’Farrell in the other.

Limerick U20 hurling boss Evan Loftus has named his side to take on Waterford in Round 5 of the oneills.com Munster U20 Hurling Championship on Friday evening.

The tie is scheduled to start at 8pm in Mick Neville Park, with the Shannonsiders looking for their first victory of this year’s Munster campaign, having lost to Clare, Tipperary and Cork.

Loftus has made just one change to the side that lost to Cork in the last round, with Dromin/Athlacca’s William Dore coming in for Mikey Fitzgibbon at corner back.

Pierce Connery is set to start in goal, with Dore joined by Darragh Langan and David Fitzgerald in the full-back line.

Sean Casey of Bruff starts at six, flanked by captain Cian Scully and Na Piarsaigh’s Vince Harrington.

Joe Fitzgerald remains in midfield, where he is joined by Matthew Fitzgerald, who lined out at centre-back against Tipperary, but shifted to the middle of the park last time out.

Con Hayes continues at centre-forward for this one, where he is supported by Robert O’Farrell and Hugh Flanagan.

Kilmallock’s Shane O’Brien leads the full-forward line, flanked by Fintan Fitzgerald in one corner and Oisin O’Farrell in the other.
