Earlier this week we asked the Limerick public to tell us what their favourite Limerick games of the past 20 years were.
From the list of games we were told we compiled a list of the Top 16 which will battle it out to be crowned the counties favourite game this century.
Our Top 16 Bracket was released on Saturday and can be seen here.
Over the last four days we had our eight Last-16 ties with the winners of those found here.
Now we will look at the quarter finals!
Our last Quarter Final pits the 2007 Munster Semi-Final Trilogy win over Tipperary against the victory over the same county at the same stage in 2013.
Two Munster semi-final wins over Tipp are sure to bring back happy memories to the Limerick faithful.
Looking at the ’07 clash first, you must analyse it in the context of the two games that preceded it.
Limerick and Tipperary needed three games, including two bouts of Extra-Time to separate them in an epic trilogy.
In the end, Limerick overcame the Premier county in front of a huge Gaelic Grounds crowd to pick up a first Munster Championship win since 2001.
Consequently, it would be a further six year before Limerick picked up their next Munster Championship win, once again in the Gaelic Grounds against Tipp.
Limerick were unfancied coming into the game against a Tipp team that won All-Ireland honours in 2010 and contested the All-Ireland final in three of the previous four years.
Despite this, Limerick lead for the majority of the game to reach a first Munster final since 2007 where they would defeat Cork to win a first Munster Championship in 17 years.
