Friday Night Fixtures | Action in the SFC, IFC and Premier JAFC as round four takes place

The football action continues on Friday evening with intriguing battles in store.

Only two fixtures remain for each team in the Limerick Football Championships with a host of games down for decision on Friday evening.

In group one of the SFC, it’s fourth against sixth place as Monaleen and Oola go head-to-head. Oola are still looking for their first points after last week’s defeat against Claughaun while Monaleen failed to build on their round two win by losing out to Fr. Casey’s.

In group two, it’s a battle between two very contrasting teams at the moment when flawless Adare take on struggling Ballylanders. Adare are three for three in terms of wins while Ballylanders are the opposite and will be looking for the upset of the championship thus far this evening. Adare can’t afford to slip up as they are neck and neck with St. Kieran’s at the moment, the side that they will face in the final game week.

The Intermediate Football Championship sees the leaders of both groups in action. St. Patrick’s, who lead group one due to an advanced walk-over against Bruff, face second placed Na Piarsaigh in what will be an interesting battle between the two top teams. Gerald Griffin’s will look to maintain their 100% record in group two against Drom. Broadford as they move closer to the knockout stages.

Elsewhere, there’s action in the Premier JAFC between Croom and Kilteely Dromkeen as well as Newcastle West’s battle against Cappagh.
