Good news on injury front for Limerick hurlers

There was better news on the injury front today for the Limerick hurlers today as Diarmaid Byrnes, Gearoid Hegarty and William O’Donoghue look set to be back in the frame for the All-Ireland SHC Qualifiers.

The trio missed Sunday’s disappointing loss to Clare and their absence certainly didn’t help John Kiely’s team.

Limerick start their all too familiar backdoor attempt on July 1st in round one of the qualifiers with some really tricky possible opponents.

Dublin, Laois and Westmeath are already in the hat with the losers of Kilkenny/Wexford and the losers of Galway/Offaly also to be added.

Limerick’s recent form in the qualifiers has been abysmal beating only Westmeath in the last two years before going on to lose to Dublin two years ago and Clare last year.

One thing is for sure, Limerick could really do with these three back before we head into July.
